Prayas in its very young stage of existence has come to become synonymous with quality education in Odisha today. Prayas was started as an honest endeavor to bring revolution in education sector in Odisha with an aim of providing quality education for all. Education in Odisha of late, has become centralized in and around the capital region and hence students from all over the state are forced to go there. However due to one size fits all kind of commercial education most of the students are unable to get any real benefit. This is what Prayas tried to change when started its operation in Jajpur Road in 2015.
Founded by IITians and NITians Prayas initially started as Prayas Classes and then Prayas Higher Secondary School came into being in 2018. In all forms of Prayas, the focus has always been on context specific honest education, that is beneficial to student. Since the inception of Prayas Higher Secondary School, personality development and imparting social values has also been another important feature of life at Prayas. Daily assembly, regular sports and cultural activities and social work initiatives are organized on a regular basis for 360 degree development of students.
